About ASM
Who is Aviation Safety Management (ASM)
ASM is an organisation founded on more than 25 years aviation safety management experience. ASM was founded in 2009 to deliver the most comprehensive and cost effective safety management software to organisations involved in all aspects of the global aviation industry. ASM has assembled an enviable group of safety professionals who act as an “Advisory Board” to drive innovation in aviation risk management. With the rapid growth of aviation currently underway across Asia, India and China, ASM’s expertise in safety management can assist these sectors in managing growth safely and efficiently.
Why ASM
Our innovative solution provides significant benefits over our competition in the areas of global user access, ease of use, incident identification, incident management, incident analysis reporting, aviation (rather than generic) safety focus and overall safety and risk management. In addition, our solution model facilitates rapid introduction, ongoing flexibility and low total cost of ownership.
Cloud Technology
Our technology approach has been carefully chosen to avoid the pitfalls of existing COTS safety management software products
- Outdated technical architecture,
- Extensive customisation,
- Lack of flexibility,
- Poor incident recording control,
- Lack of integrated reporting capability, and
- High ongoing technology costs.
We endeavour to ensure our customers enjoy ongoing responsiveness in their overall safety management environment without the need to divert their focus onto managing non-core technology issues and maintaining high-levels of in-house technology skills.
We can provide this outcome to our customers as the SERA toolset has been designed to be delivered as a cloud service. ASM hosts the software and data on secure, dedicated servers and authorised users use secure internet capabilities to access the system globally. This means that organisations pay a cost effective one-off establishment fee and then a competitive ongoing service fee for their usage of the service. All software maintenance and upgrades are provided free of charge.
This service-based approach to technology procurement has been adopted by many large, high profile organisations to minimise their overall technology costs while still providing high quality, secure technology services to internal and external customers. Our service-based approach eliminates the issues associated with technology proliferation and solutions outside the Standard Operating Environment by removing the need for any in-house technology support for the system.
